Project: Sliding Door Wall Storage

Queensmill School in Shepherds Bush London is an Ofsted outstanding award winning nursery, primary and secondary school for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders aged from 2-19 years.

We were approached by the schools architect to advise on the best solution for storage for their completely new bespoke larger building, which comprised of spacious classrooms, interactive sensor rooms, wet room a garden and a playground as well as respite care for families all under one roof.

The architects working on the new school build were keen to develop an open learning environment with maximum flexibility and excellent storage capabilities.

We realised that the best option to accommodate this would be the new and innovative sliding door system fitted from floor to wall.

The main benefit of storage wall with sliding doors is the system makes full use of all the available space. Whilst traditional hinged doors require enough room to swing open, sliding doors operate sideways providing the school with huge space saving advantages and making them ideal of use in classrooms and offices.

Plans and detailed specifications were drawn up for the school to approve and we are proud of the result, a practical flexible ergonomic stylish storage solution that helps the school provide a tidy clutter-free peaceful teaching environment.
