Case Study

Brooklands College

Location: Weybridge, Surrey

Sector: Further Education College

Project: Large Furniture installation across two campuses

Contract Value: £150,000

Whiteleys were approached by Fusion project management involved in a major installation and refurbishment programme for Brooklands College based in Weybridge.

A preliminary meeting was arranged with the college, the fusion project team and the team at Whiteleys to discuss and agree all what was expected in terms of deadline, budgets, quality and style of furniture.

From this meeting Whiteleys began to draw up plans for the various areas such as reception, library, classrooms etc and these were submitted to all involved in the project until everyone was satisfied with how the space planning looked.

The final detailed plan also showed images of the actual furniture that was going into different areas so that not only could they see the detailed space plan but how the furniture colours and styles would look all together to create a “real live mood board

A vast array of furniture was supplied, assembled and installed by our installation and service team across two of the sites one on the main Brook lands College campus and the other one nearby. Below are some of the areas that we completed the work on

Reception Area

Bespoke curved reception desk complete with DDA panel

Bespoke Shelving System, Break Out Seating, Tables and Chairs

IT Suite

Bench Desking complete with Monitor arms, CPU Holders & Cable trays accessories

Chairs, tables, teachers desks, storage units

Changing rooms

Bespoke lockers

Plus various furniture for staff room, coffee bar, meeting rooms and admissions

All the furniture was project managed from start to finish and all the rooms were left clean and tidy with all the rubbish and packaging being removed.

Steve has been very helpful during the time I have worked with Whiteleys. He helped us to capture the client’s requirements and was very flexible when circumstances changed including the required delivery date for one phase being put back by two weeks at short notice.”
